Service features
Each operator enabled to access the CMDBuild system can access the service features by clicking on their group name at the top right. The available functions include switching group or tenant, setting personal preferences, and changing the password.

User preferences
Each operator can configure personal preferences regarding:
- the application language (among the available ones), used when CMDBuild is configured not to request the login language
- the initial page displayed at startup
- the date format (among the available ones)
- the time format (among the available ones)
- the timezone (among the available ones)
- the first day of the week
- the decimal separator in numeric fields (among the available ones)
- the thousands separator in numeric fields (among the available ones)
- the separator used in CSV reports and CSV grid exports
- the encoding mode (charset) used in CSV reports and CSV grid exports
- the Office software used for the Export function and for optimal formatting of dates and numbers in CSV reports
- preferences for the bookmarks menu, including whether it should be initially collapsed and its position relative to the navigation menu
- the icon used in the chat
- the sound and volume for chat notifications
- the preference for grouping emails by status
- the time window within which sending an email can be cancelled

Password change
Each operator can change their CMDBuild access password at any time. The following fields must be specified:
- current password
- new password
- confirmation of the new password
In the user interface, passwords are hidden with the * character.

Chat
CMDBuild includes an integrated chat that allows operators to communicate, report activities, provide feedback, resolve doubts, and more.

The following functions are available:
- expand or collapse the chat box
- display the list of users in chat (if the box is closed, unread messages are shown)
- use the “+” button to display or search the user list and select a user to chat with
- display messages received from the selected user
- type and send a new message
