System data mapping

This page describes how data retrieved from the source service is mapped into records generated by the connector.

For each record type, the following information is reported:

• the property name exposed by the connector;
• the path from which the value is obtained in the source service;
• any additional note regarding transformations, enrichments or special behaviours.

Each record mapping section is titled {Source Object Name} ({_type}), combining the object name used by the source service with the internal record type produced by the connector.

Source paths of entities are relative to the entity object returned by the Dynatrace /api/v2/entities API. Properties marked as Lookup are normalized to the corresponding lookup value by the standard connector processing.

Common properties

The following properties are present in all the entity records (all the record types except management zones and relations).

Notes

• Properties that refer to another entity (for example host or kubernetes_cluster) contain the Record Id of the related record. Only the first related entity of the expected type is considered.
• Properties whose value is a list of simple values are returned as a single string, with the values separated by a space.
• Timestamps expressed in epoch format are converted to ISO date.

Relations

Relation records are generated by the connector from the relationships reported by each entity. They have no common properties with the entity records. Every property of a relation record contains the Record Id of the related record, and the related items are taken from the relationship of the entity (fromRelationships), filtered by the expected type. Unlike the properties of the entity records, all the matching items are considered, not only the first one.

Generic relation (relation)

Calculated record: one for each relationship reported by an entity, regardless of its type. These records are returned by the connector but are not imported into CMDBuild.

• Each relationship (name, source, target) is generated only once, even if reported by both entities.
