System data mapping

This page describes how data retrieved from the source service is mapped into records generated by the connector.

For each record type, the following information is reported:

• the property name exposed by the connector;
• the path from which the value is obtained in the source service;
• any additional note regarding transformations, enrichments or special behaviours.

Each record mapping section is titled {Source Object Name} ({_type}), combining the object name used by the source service with the internal record type produced by the connector.

Common properties

User (user)

Represents a user of the Microsoft Entra ID tenant. All the users returned by Microsoft Graph are read, without filters (both members and guests).

Notes

All the extension_attribute_* properties are added only when onPremisesExtensionAttributes is present. cost_center and division are added only when employeeOrgData is present. manager is added only when the user has a manager.

Group (group)

Represents a group of the Microsoft Entra ID tenant. All the groups returned by Microsoft Graph are read, without filters.

Notes

Only the direct members of type user are read (the members request is cast to microsoft.graph.user): members of other types, such as nested groups, and transitive memberships are not read.

Group member (groupmemberrelation)

Calculated record representing the membership of a user in a group. It is generated during the preprocessing, one for each element of the members list of each group record.
